Our Approach
Moonrise art studio believes that there are endless learning opportunities when children are able to freely create and experiment. Our classes focus on the magic that occurs during the making, rather than the final outcome. With this approach children get to experiment with art materials, use their imagination, and make their own choices. Focusing on the process rather than the product fosters creativity and allows children to express themselves through their art!
About Maria (she/her)
Maria is the owner and teacher at Moonrise Art Studio. She holds a BA in Early Childhood Education and has over seven years of experience teaching in Reggio Emilia preschools and art studio settings. She values creative expression and is passionate about bringing art experiences to kids that foster creativity. She loves facilitating these environments and witnessing the magic happen!
When not teaching, she is usually creating! She enjoys experimenting with all art mediums but her expertise is in fiber arts. She loves to up-cycle textile waste to create one of a kind garments. You can often find her sporting her own makes in her art classes!
